  • Sloane Ortel

    Sloane Ortel is the founder of Ethical Capital, a registered investment adviser that manages distinctive income and growth-oriented portfolios on behalf of aligned individuals and institutions. She is also a co-founder of the Woodcache Public Benefit Corporation, which develops highly measurable carbon removal projects in the American west. Before beginning her entrepreneurial journey, she spent close to a decade helping CFA Institute members as a collaborator, curator, and commentator. Sloane is a co-host of Free Money with Sloane and Ashby, a good podcast.

  • Zach Stafford

    Zach Stafford is an award-winning journalist and currently serves as a contributor to MSNBC and host of the popular podcast “Vibe Check.” He served as a producer on, A Strange Loop, which won the Tony Award for Best Musical and earned the most 2022 Tony Nominations of any production. Recently Stafford was the editor-at-large of BuzzFeed and host of the daily live-streaming show AM2DM. Prior to these roles, he was editor-in-chief of The Advocate, served as the chief content officer of Grindr, and was a journalist at The Guardian. He was named 100 most influential Black people by The Root.

  • Steven Godeke

    Since 2001, Steven Godeke has worked with clients to source, structure and execute impact investment strategies across a range of sectors. He leads independent searches for impact investing advisors and works with investment managers and funds to deepen environmental and social impact. Steven is an adjunct professor of finance at New York University’s Stern School of Business and has published several groundbreaking publications. Prior to establishing his own firm, Steven worked for twelve years at Deutsche Bank where he structured debt and equity products and advised corporate clients.

  • Otho Kerr

    Otho E. Kerr III serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Community Impact Investing for the New York Federal Reserve Bank’s Community Development team. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Otho was the Chief Investment Officer for Acumen, an international impact investment firm, and before that was a founding partner and Chief Operating Officer with Encourage Capital. Otho has worked in investment banking and asset management for over thirty years, starting at Goldman Sachs. He is a Co-Chair of the Board of the Hetrick-Martin Institute, the nation’s largest LGBTQ youth services organization, and serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Advisory Committee on the Culture of Health Program. Otho enjoys running, skiing, and travel, and is an active member of TED.

  • Priya Parrish

    Priya Parrish is Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Impact Engine, a venture capital and private equity firm investing in companies driving positive social and environmental impact. Priya is also Adjunct Assistant Professor of Strategy and Impact Investor in Residence at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and serves as an adviser to investment firms developing impact strategies. Prior to joining Impact Engine, she served as Chief Investment Officer at Schwartz Capital Group, a single-family office investing across global markets. Previously, she was Strategy Head at Aurora Investment Management, and developed investment products that incorporated ESG factors at Northern Trust Asset Management and KLD Research & Analytics. Priya holds a B.S. in Business Management from Babson College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

  • Katrina Ngo

    Katrina Ngo is a Strategist at Allied, a team that advances philanthropic, political, and policy objectives. Katrina brings to her position two decades of experience and leadership in the social sector. Prior to joining Allied, she served as Director of Impact Investor Relations for Kiva Capital Management, and as Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships with the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN). At the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), Katrina held a series of roles, including as Director of CGI America. Her early career in international development included the Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan ‎and a Kiva Fellowship in Kenya.

  • Christopher Barrett

    Christopher Barrett Politan is the founder and principal of Give, Get, Grow Philanthropic Advisory – a change management and philanthropic advisory firm.

    Through his practice, Christopher has worked with a number of national and international LGBTQ+ organizations including: National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, SAGE, Ali Forney Center, Anti-Violence Project, Immigration Equality, The Legacy Project, and OutRight Action International.

    Christopher has served on numerous LGBTQ+ nonprofit boards. Presently he serves on two grant making boards including as the Strategic Planning Chair of DVLF, serving the Greater Philadelphia LGBTQ+ community.

  • Lara Metcalf

    Lara Metcalf has deep experience using innovative investment capital approaches in the public and private sectors to drive impact. After 18 years in the fixed income market at Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Credit Suisse, Lara is currently the Chief Portfolio Officer at the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, a global venture philanthropy firm. Lara is also on the Investment Committee for MIT Solve Innovation Futures Fund. Lara spent 5 years as the Managing Director of Social Finance where she led the creation of $80M+ in project finance impact investments.

  • Carlos Vargas

    Carlos Vargas is a Professor of Finance at the EGADE Business School, Lecturer in Sustainable Finance and Investments at Harvard University, and serves as Chief Sustainability Officer for Grupo HYCSA. Vargas was formerly chief financial officer for New Evolution Ventures Mexico. Vargas holds a PhD from the University of Zurich, an MBA from IPADE Business School in Mexico. His PhD dissertation addressed diverse issues through dynamic financial valuation methodologies. Vargas has written financial editorials and guest lectured at the University of Massachusetts, Boston; Babson College; and several universities in Europe and Latin America.
